The age and condition might have a slight bearing

BUT, its an Import (knock loads off) and it's been owned by a Chav (Dump Valve) .... do you REALLY want it??

An STI is worth a reasonable amount more than a UK, irrespective of what you may hear. It really depends on the cars condition though; baseball caps and 'dump valves' do not bode well...

mate of mine just bought a 98 S reg STi version 5 saloon
absolutely spotless , 60,000 miles for £8500, probably slightly over the odds but it is immaculate
