£750 Reward for the first 8 in Yorkraceways Z street class
£750 has been put up for the fastest 8 second run by a modified production car,the currant record holder is Andy forrest With a 9.19.
Usual rules apply. -The car must use an engine block which was optioned for that model, and it must be in the stock location.
-The car is street legal.
-Has a current MOT.
-Is still in an MOT-able condition (i.e. it’s not stripped down).
-Road legal tyres, non-E-marked tyres are permitted.
-Times must be backed up within +/-1% (i.e. 0.10 on a 10.0 second time).
-Through the day, the two leading cars will be accommodated in the ‘hero pit’ in the start area, until or unless another car runs quicker.
-The winner would be the quickest sub 9.0 second time, backed up, and before the 4pm deadline.
-Results will be posted at 4:30pm allowing 30 minute in the event of an appeal.

Wouldnt the above clause rule out pretty much any Subaru ? aside from the RCMS prepared cars that still use an EJ20, which was the only block for a GC8 model ? ( excluding 1.8's and 1.6's of course )
All the EJ22 and EJ25 units were never an option for a classic Impreza.

Yes it is true, the link is to the rules to our modders street class classes.
The £500 prize money was for the first 9 second run which Andy F won
we have now decided to offer £750 (only yesterday) for the first or fastest 8 of the day.
we have not had time to up date our website yet

How can you offer the £750 prize for the first or fastest 8 of the day?
Either it's for the first to break an 8, or the fastest 8 of the day, or are you going to pay out two payments totalling £1500?

You clearly dont understand the rules then.
That means, the block, and the block alone. Nothing about crank, rods or pistons. Therefore Andy does qualify.
