Since i brought my car i have had a slight knocking from the NSR when going over pot holes or uneven road surface. So far i have changed both rear struts and top mounts, New droplinks, adjusted boot catch and had rear seat out but the f****** noise is still there.

Anyone got any ideas as this is costing me a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just so happens that the jack and toolkit is housed in the NSR?

I'd hazzard a guess that the car is a UK STI.

Potentially an MY02 car, but could be later aswell

Common problem on the STI's in my experience - especially on the 02 cars

i had similar, just had ast suspension noise now gone, have a chat to curtis at powerstation-he reckoned stut top replacement does not make any difference.
did dealer fit uprated susp parts as these are supposed to be better than direct 02 replacements

Presume its out of warranty?

Your best bet really is to contact Subaru UK - it's a known problem.
Unfortunately I had an 02 STI - it has the problem. Struts changed countless times.
Traded it in (still with knocking suspension) for an 05 STI 1.5 years ago.
05 STI did have a problem with the same strut, but its was leaking.
A similar noise has come back again, but still to be identified fully.
Dealer has ordered two replacement struts for me as I understand.

See this thread.

Good luck!
