Can't sleep
Hi all
first timer, been hanging in the background for a few weeks now and I've just talked my wife into letting me order a new sti and I cant wait, it's driving her crazy. It's like being 8 years old on christmas eve.
Never posted before just incase I said something dumb, but I would like some advice on running in a new sti.
many thanks in advance.

Hi mate and welcome
congrats on your order , first off take it steady and get to grips with the car, know your and your car's limits, check the oil levels on a reg basis and vary the revs, enjoy the new relationship with your v-power dealer
most importantly try and resist the temptation to mod its worse than a crack addiction

How long do you have to wait for your car?
What colour have you ordered?
Did you order PPP?
Running in? Varies between how people think. Personaly, I ran mine for 3000-35000 revs for the first 500 miles, then after that varied the rev range through the gears for the next 500 miles, but never red lines it.
After 1000 miles, I started to use more of the rev range more of the time, and after about 1300 miles I just went for it.
Others might say it's best to just cain them from new, as the dealer told me. As long as your happy with how you run your own car in, there is no deffo right or wrong way, per say.

Hi
just been told from the dealer that he cannot for love nor money locate WR Blue for me but can get me black or crystal grey. The next lot of imports are not due until end of november and will not qualify for free fuel.
What do I do? I want Blue and I want it now!!!!!! I dont wont black to hard to keep clean and I'm only 75% liking the grey. Please help before I go stir crazy.

I was told mine was the last o5 shape 06 plate WR blue in the UK, since found out there is one more down south, good luck fella, and take it easy for the first few miles, despite the 4 wheel drive its easy to go hedgeside!

Just been told the one in northern ireland has gone also. May just wait till xams now and see what offers they have on around that time. Contacted loads of dealers with no luck so not sure if the one you say is down south is still up for grabs.

hpw about a pre registered 55 plate? quite a few "ex Demonstrators" with 10 miles or so on the clock, worth a haggle on the price to - go to subaru.co.uk and use the demonstrator locator.

you would not get the 3k fuel and would prefer a new one, maybe it's just me being stuburn. I was told by a few dealers also told me that they could get me in a 07 model within 2 weeks but they do not qualify for the fuel. But on subaru site they say any car before the end on september will qualify. And as far as the new 07 model all they have changed is the rear diff, new switches for the windows and removed the ash tray.

I've had to wait nearly a full year to convince my wife to get one and saying she will be driving it 80% of the time I thought I would go for the 2.5 as it's a little tamer than the 2.0
