What could i expect from an exhaust bore change?

What could i expect from an exhaust bore change?
I'm getting a 18g turbo shortly and currently have a (2.5") afterburner decat system. I was told these are restrictive over 350bhp, and the 18g is rated for around 360-370.
So my dilemma (and lack of knowledge) is whether i should replace the exhaust to compliment the new turbo?
The current system is loud, so would like less boom is possible, but the most performance.
Been readin exhaust threads and examples all day and it's a minefield, combinations of all different parts, custom mades etc etc.
Help appreciated...
