Hi, after many years wanting one (waiting for insurance to come down) i finally have my scoob. Just bought a 98 standard turbo 2000 and tbh its been a nightmare!! Had it 2 weeks and its spent 10 days in the garage. Various oil leaks (filter and sump) heatshield corroded behind repair, stonechips from hell and clutch pedal sticking down.Not a happy bunny, especially with the 5hitbag i got it from. Anyway what i need is some recommendations for garages around the Peterborough area who know what they are doing to fix another oil leak. Also looking to get a respray for the whole car, any idea's on how much i'll be looking at. Apart from that its been great!! Thanks for any advice given and look forward to spending time on this forum.

Welcome matey, sorry to hear about your bad luck. How many miles on the clock has the car got, also any history - main dealer stamps etc. Is the car OK now apart from stone chips & oil leak? where is leak coming from? Ade

hi ade, car has got 113000 miles (dont cringe) 1 owner, full dealer history, 10k in reciepts etc etc. looking through the posts on here looks the the crankshaft thingy. Had it in the garage last week for 3 days, mech says he needs to take gearbox out etc. After i caught him using the car to get some bits kinda of didnt beleive him anymore!! need to find someone decent and honest! longshot i know
