Question

Probably a daft question, but I'll ask it anyway....

Is the "standard" Turbo MY01 going to be known as the Impreza WRX? Just that I couldn't help but notice that the model VBH was driving on the Motor Show Special yesterday had a WRX badge on it, and she seemed to regard it as next years "standard" turbo.

Thanx in advance

Kelvin

Hi,

We will not be getting our cars delivered until the start of January for 'marketing reasons'

I can understand why they (IM) has called it WRX, but ain't that gonna confuse the punters if they are buying second hand as they'll look at a new WRX and an old 'proper' WRX and then look at a turbo 2000 and wonder what the hell is going on.

Aaah but look at how it will gradually undermine the magic WRX name, thus making buyers go for a UK car because its the "Same". Clever bit of badge engineering by Subaru to reduce the number of Greys methinks.

The MY00 UK car is sold (with slightly more power) in other markets (Australia etc) as a WRX. The only models that are really different are the STI's

Keep you all in the picture...
The New Impreza in 2.0 litre Turbo guise is to be known world wide as the WRX.....
It won't be called anything else as Subaru want to keep it uniform throughout all markets.
All other Impreza models are all normally aspirated (not turbo) and are either RX or LX badged. Also 2.0 litre but no turbo....dunno if a 1.8 litre is also available or not...

getting back to the topic...

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY OWN A MY01 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX YET?????????
