im not really desperate for one i just thaught i would give it a go, i dont like the idea of spending £150 for some thing that would probably cost around £30 to make, its like anything that is aimed towards performance cars they just seem to add an extra 0 on to the price, if it dosent work fair enough i wont loose any sleep over £30

It costs £2 to make .... £30 gives a nice profit .... £149 is just plain silly and greedy - it does NOT make it any better!!

BTW it's a useless piece of equipment, so the cheaper the better!! It's not going to make your engine blow up just because it's better value than the £149 one!

Right heres an update on the cheap knocklink i bought and just got round to fitting http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4605416796
Knocklink £22 inc postage
Sensor £13 inc postage

I fitted the knocklink just under the radio in my classic, took a live connection from the radio and mounted the sensor in the ideal location under the intercooler.
Turned the sensativity up to max, turned on the ignition and first green light came on (although not very bright its just to show theres power) tapped the sensor and got all the lights to light up brightly, started the car and got a flicker onto orange took it for a drive and never came off the first green but i was not expecting it to as i had the car remapped last week.
So to sum it up it seems to be working correctly and only cost £35 bargain

got the knock sensor from ebay as well, it was for a vauxhall, they are all basically the same but come with different connecting plugs on the end, just chop that off and wire it up
the sensor needs to look like this, where you can put a bolt through it to fasten it to the block
