Default preserving my sti mats

i have an immaculate set of sti mats and want to keep them that way. on my last scoob the drivers mat wore quite bad near to the clutch foot area and i want to cover/protect that area somehow with a tasteful and cheap mod. any ideas appreciated

Aren't they there to stop you wearing a hole in the actual car carpet ? If you don't want them damaged, stick them on the mantle with the other ornaments and get some cheapies for everyday use My mother-out-law had an oak dining table that no-one knew she had 'cos she was so protective of it that it lay beneath 2 blankets and a tablecloth along with a full compliment of mats and coasters. it may as well have been chipboard for all the pleasure it gave her. Never saw the light of day, especially when anyone was around who might spill coffee on it. It ceased being a table and became an ornament, much like your precious mats. Use the bu99ers and buy some more when they're knackered FFS.

It's a pity no one sells replacement drivers mats only... - thats the only one that gets worn!

After two months my mats are showing wear. All I can think is to let it happen and just replace them every couple of years.
I suppose you could have an over-mat - but then you can't see the original.

Take them out the car, or don't use the clutch.

Honestly some of the threads on this site make me roar
