Default sports cat

hi guys, that dreaded time of year again for a de-cat scooby owner "THE MOT", just spent most of the morning lying on my back and fumbling under the intercooler to get the legal downpipe back on....and to be honest had a guts full . so can any one tell me if the sports cat downpipes which are available are much cop, I know its not gonna give me as much as a full de-cat, but do they improve much over a standard pipe....cheers

Default decat

Ive a decat downpipe and rather then having to take that off for the test and back on I put a BPM High flow cat centre section on and saved all the work with the downpipe. Passed the test then took the BPM off and decat centre back in.

The 100cell sports cat dpipes have almost the same flow as a straight through dpipe, and will still enable you to pass the MOT. I recently bought a ninja stainless 100cell dpipe, the quality is superb.

Another vote for the Ninja, I have one too.

£299 from Scoobyworld, it was £315 delivered:

My car was recently remapped by Powerstation, and made 273/273 with this, Magnex centre and backbox and a JR panel filter (MY00).

I have a ninja sports cat Dp too, echo the comments on quality. Can't really argue with Stix's figures, those are bang on the money for that spec, so it's obviously not robbing the car of much power!

I've been thinking about a sports cat downpipe for some time. Cost on this looks ok, what about longevity though, the cat has a 12 mth warranty I see, anybody had a sports cat D/P for any length of time, or had to replace the cat and can advise on price or availability

What is the diameter of the tubing?
Is it 3'' all the way through without a necking down to 2.5''?
Web site link?

Thanks!
