Question Swooshing sound MY99 turbo

Hi guys, my MY99 turbo is making a swooshing sound at around 2000 revs when I accelerate, I'm only doing about 20 to 30 mph at the time and to be honest its getting a bit embarrassing.Any ideas what it could be?.

Um, noI know the dump valve makes a good swoosh noise but thats when you lift off not accelerate.I probably being a bit thick but this is my first scoob.
And its not the turbo either, turbo kicks at about 3000.

Turbo spooling up? Induction kit/high-flow filter. I changed the panel filter and got induction noise.

I had a Grp A induction kit on my classic. That was very loud, both accelerating and let-off.

I can feel and hear the turbo coming in at anything over 2000rpm, ok not very strongly at those revs but it is present and does make a swooshing turbo like noise...

unless of course if its a screaming noise i.e. a very sharp jet engine type noise then maybe its some sort of bung in the exhaust.

any audio sample

Swooshing noises aside how's scooby ownership treating you? Think I saw you in Cambridge once a while back, but was driving the Mrs' Corsa around so you wouldn't have seen me lol

Hi mate, I see, spying on other scoob owners in you mrs Corsa very sneaky.
I'm loving me scoob, don't think ill ever get enough of that sweet burble.
This bloomin swooshing noise on the other hand is driving me nuts I think there's something wrong with the exhaust somewhere its definitely not the turbo or dump valve.

Hows the new motor going? and why you driving your mrs Corsa? you haven't broken your new scoob already!?.

Loving mine equally as much, first car I've had where I'd rather drive with the stereo turned off

If you want a second opinion on the swoooooosh I'd be happy to have listen sometime - I also have a tame mechanic who might come in useful

Mrs hasn''t been driving long so we share the driving in her car - naturally she isn't allowed near the scoob!!
