Anyone got an engine or a decent contact for a second hand or recon'd one?

Yeah, that's a possibility too. Waiting on a few more prices for that. Was just seeing if I could maybe get a decent engine even cheaper.

He he. Yeah I've seen a few posts get carried away a bit mind! Noticed lots of competition aswell as far as promoting themselves, other garages, etc.

Try TEGSport www.tegsport.co.uk That's where I'd go - I think they said £1k for a full rebuild as standard or £1.5k to rebuild with STi parts

Al - Bottom end is knocking. Sounds like conrod / crankshaft bearings, so just pricing up new/2nd hand engines before getting a rebuild.
