Beware In Yorkshire
Beware in Bradford area as someone tried to break in to my house last night. Apparently euro cylinder locks are easy to bypass, The scum break off the bottom part of the handle and then just snap the euro lock in half. Luckily in my case it didn't break in the middle where the srew goes through and it remained secure. They didn't get in anyway and if they had the alarm would have gone off before they got up the stairs and got the keys.
I Have now at a cost of £60 replaced the handles, and the lock cylinder with one known as a break secure cylinder these i am told break off near the end when attacked and keep the door secure.
Just be warned.

As Paul said in his original post, there seems to be a "break secure cylinder" available. I'd contact some security specialist shops and maybe a couple of upvc door companies to find out, but before shelling out loads of cash, check B&Q as they may well sell them too. When I needed a new lock for a upvc door a few years ago the locksmith wanted £96 for it. I went to B&Q and got one myself for £12 and fitted it myself. They're only held in by one bolt, easily accessible from the side.

A neighbour of mine was broken into recently, they prized up the bottom of his UPVC door lock after drilling the barrel, did something to the mechanism and all the rods in the door released!!! He has now had some additional twist locks fitted to the door frame and has started using his alarm again

As you can see the barrel is made of three distinct parts, When it attacked it breaks at these points and not in the middle, leaving your property still secure.

last weekend someone broke into a house 2 doors down while they were out(wakefield)
loaded up his company car & her hatchback with tv's computers etc and drove off , not found the cars yet or stolen items.
same night my van was broke into they stole a generator & a bunch of keys
for machines @ work, but left all my tools,spares,cd player & test equipment
never heard a thing & the van is parked outside my bedroom window
