Which scoob do i get? if any
With already one scoob in the house drinking petrol like it goes out of fashion, another drinker in the house would be stupid?
My question is apart from a sport which is the best ecominical (sp)
He has a classic wrx sti so my blonde thoughts are that a wrx would be slightly better??
Feel free to laugh servicing and parts or fine as my dad, brother and a good friend owns a gargage.
Thanks

I would be suprised if any scooby could ever come under the badge "economical" !!
Logic would say that if you want a turbo then the WRX will drink less than the STI cos it is less power....I could be wrong!
Also I would guess that a newage would be more prudent than a classic but again only a guess.
My my03 WRX PPP makes me want to cry every 3-5 days when it removes another £50 from my wallet....having said that it is £50 less for the mrs to spend in Primark!!
Anyway happy hunting for your new motor

It really depends on how much you want to pay for the car as this will dictate what model to go for.
Also funds available for things like insurance and fuel also need thinking about.
I personally feel that there is no point buying an import classic WRX - you'll pay more for insurance and it has a higher chance of going wrong. You can get good straight UK classics very cheap these days.
If on the other hand your budget is in the 8K-10K region then you could buy a bug-eye UK WRX. Yes its ugly but its arguably a better built car and more refined and as its ugly there are a bit of a bargain.
We are going to have another turbo once she gets her funds together.
On a note of fuel, a sport IMO isn't that better on MPG than a Turbo. I was getting better MPG in my Turbo than my friend was getting in his Sport.

The WRX is more economical than a STi.
I average 25mpg in my MY01 (modified) with mixed driving. I can get 30mpg on the motorway taking it steady... not bad for a 280bhp car.

insurance is fine i'm on traders policy so it gets classed as a company car.
I hate bugeye's, newer shapes are out my budget so i prefer classic's anyway.
I was meant to be getting a escort rs turbo but finding a good one so like a needle in a hay stack so was thinking scooby

There are good ones out there, but buying a classic import is a significantly more risky proposition than a UK car.
