No one likes a show off, only joking mate!, well done.

Most I've got is 220 miles. Each time I fill up and re-set the trip-metre I say to myself see how much I can get out of this tank, but that only lasts a few miles or so, then I remember why i brought the car in the first place .
Always fill up with the needle on the last line and done 170ish miles roughly.

Adz:- what car you got then?

do you guys drive like you stole it
dunno what you lot are doing, but i drive sharpish, drive around london, on rubbish roads, stop and start, motorway miles in and back from work, enjoy the occasional blast and..
still get every tank at least 250 miles and usually 270-280.

am i just lucky or such a god like driver

(btw, after the mapping this week, i am prepared to eat my words, as i am guessing my mpg to drop !!! )

I don't consider myself as a hard driver atall. My journeys are about 30miles a day, half in traffic, there are a couple of national speed limit sections in that run, where shall we say clear out the cob-webs, but nothing like rev limit it every where, no way.

I guess 220 miles is fair really.

I drive a 05 STI Impreza. Standard non PPP.

Soon will be doing a run from Clacton to Oxford, so all motor ways, will be interesting to see what I get then, maybe a little more than the 220.

My average is alway 19 mpg over the course of emptying the tank with my everyday driving and everyday usage of the car.

Over the last year, I have achieved the equivalent of an average of 373 miles per full tanks of 60 litres. That's around 28MPG. Sometimes my average is as high as 32MPG. It's a real load of mixed driving, but my averages would be even higher if it wasn't for my wife using the car for silly short journeys. Yes, the turbo does get used pretty regular but only when it's for a purpose - the economy is linked to reason why I still have loads of brake pad left after two years - plan ahead and keep back from traffic, and make progress on empty open roads. Then again, I only have a basic WRX bugeye - I wouldn't get that with an STI.
