Protecting paintwork from stonechips

Protecting paintwork from stonechips
Hi guys
Can someone recommend a proven way of protecting against stonechips, etc.?
I've seen an ad in EVO by Venture Shield. I've also come across Paint Shield.
Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with these or other products? Please let me know.
Many thanks in advance.
Andrei

I used to be a big fan of armourfend, had it on 3 cars. But, after time it can start to look worse than stone chips.
Fact is doesn't matter where you stick it, sods law will always flick a stone up somewhere else.
I had my entire M3 CSL covered in armourfend, and have since heard the new owner took the lot off.
Now I've given up, cars get chipped. If it's a huge problem just get a respray every spring, ready for the summer.
Armourfend UK has been sold back to the US IIRC so not really sure whats going on there.

Those protective films always seem to discolour and bubble after a while.

4 Year Paint protection warranty
bit unclear, does this mean that your paintwork is protected for 4 years against stone chips. Most of these companies use the 3m type film or similar, so if a stone does his a part of this protection depending on the size and severity of the object hitting the film, it will mark it to some degree whichever company makes and installs the film am I right??
