Guys,

Anyone got any ideas on the above? Can you tell if your car is or isnt prodrived just by looking?

Cheers

there are a huge number of threads on this elsewhere on the forum - might be worth searching before you get a response from some here

I can handle abuse. If people wanna be children, then so be it...

Just a genuine query. Not sure if my car is ppp'd, as I dont seem to have the certificate from prodrive.

Bit touchy aren't we? The comments he made were not childish just an observation and obviously in a manner to point you in the right direction. You're not taking any illegal substances are you?

STi PPP should have a Prodrive back-box, decat'd centre section, high flow sports cat downpipe, uprated fuel pump and remap'd ECU. The only obvious sign will be the Prodrive logo on the tailpipe, but an unscrupulous seller/dealer could just fit this and pass it off as a full Prodrive Pack. If you contact your local Subaru dealer they can check with your reg. no. to see if it has an official Prodrive Pack or not, and if it has they can get you a duplicate certificate for a small admin fee (usually £5 or so).

Or a quick call to Prodrive will also tell you...

I bought my 05 STi from a independent dealer, they said it wasn't PPP'd just had the backbox, fair enough I thought. Checked with Prodrive a couple of days after picking it up & confirmed it was Got it for less than standard STi money too so was wel pleased...

Worth a phone call.

Thanks very much guys.

It has the back box, and the V5 shows it registered as a Prodrive. VRN showed so on direct lines computer system also.
The dealer did say it had the PPP, but i cannae find the cert.

Thanks again.

I/C pipe is only upgraded on WRX PPP. The red STi pipe is up to the job whereas the black plastic thing on the WRX is not and so gets a blue Samco silicone hose with Prodrive badging.
