Default newby! couple of questions

Hi everyone im px'n my civictype r for a 54reg wrx next week. I was wondering how much bhp the wrx has and the dealer says it has prodrive stuff aswell.

also im going to be looking for a better spoiler, what would be the best options for me (any pics?) and where is the best place to get them?
Thanks!!

With the ppp upgrade it will be 262bhp from memory. That is of course assuming it has the prodrive performance package and not just a prodrive gear **** ...........

You could put an STi spoiler on it but they are not cheap.....

Welcome
Check with your insurance co before you add a spoiler, it may just be a spoiler to add one

If the dealer say that the car has the Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP), make sure that they have the certificate from Prodrive as well, otherwise don't believe them, and walk away or bargain them downwards.

I part ex'd my CTR for 02WRX a couple of years ago (non PPP) and to be honest i was a little dissapointed at first, but the ppp is a different animal.

Might be worth thinking about a different spoiler to that of STI i wish i had.

Quick de-cat and you wont look back

Welcome

Tony
My insurance are only charging me and additional £20 for adding a spoiler and another £40 if I add tints.

Try A-plan when looking for your insurance, and DRmotorsport.co.uk have a few different spoilers on their site.

Can you tell the difference between a STi and one with the PPP by looking? I'm not sure if mone has a Prodrive certificate, but i bought it from a main dealer, and its registered as a prodrive model on the V5 document.

If you go into a dealer they should be able to tell you if it is or isn't. I think you can also request replacement certs, although no doubting they will charge you for it.

My MY05 WRX PPP has the ProDrive Tailpipe and a blue Intercooler Pipe with Prodrive in white on it (And a new ECU of course).
I didn't get a cert with mine but a phone call and letter to Subaru UK soon sorted that out, have one here now at no extra cost
