Default E-Bay Scammer?

Sold a mobile phone on e-bay today and the person whos won the bid has just sent me a message asking if they can pay in cash.
In the advert i said cheque or postal orders as i don't have the facility for paypal.
In replying to the buyer i've just noticed that their ID history has been mutually withdrawn. They have been a e-bay member since May 04 but have a zero feedback score.

Got a really funny feeling about this, i think someones trying to scam me.

Does anybody think the same?

Or cash in hand Via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

I sold a car cash on ebay to some one with 2 items bought previously and he was spot on.

I'd go with cash in post then.

For real. I ONLY buy expensive items if they are covered for the £500 paypal protection. You will be able to see this on thier listing.

I've just sent them another message telling them that if they don't reply then i'm going to re-list the item because i'm not happy that they have had their feedback withdrawn and that they havn't replied to my first message to them.

I didn't really get as much for it as i wanted anyway so i'll just re-list it if nothing comes of this. Just pisses me off that i'll have to pay again to re-list.

How long do you think i should wait, is there a set time?

Its just that they have zero feedback and you hear that many stories about people trying to buy mobile phones that try to rip you off one way or another. I just said it seems strange that they've had their feedback withdrawn. You'd think that it would actually sat why its been withdrawn.

Open a dispute with ebay, when he does'nt reply within 7 days, you get your fee's back, then re-list the phone!
