Whats the score with Sainsburys unleaded??
Hi all just wondering what the general opionion of Sainsburys Super unleaded is? Tried doing the google .bbs.scoobynet search but it didnt turn up any Disccusions on it.
Apparently its BP's Ultimate Unleaded and I have only used this twice in Emergencies, no Optimax near by ect.
I have been using Tesscos 99 ron for the last few months and the sainburys Fuel is a bit cheaper in my area so just wondering if its worth making the switch?

I use Sainsbury's SUL (much modified RB5 btw) and have had no issues whatsoever.
I've tried just about every SUL going and cannot find a bad thing to say about the Sainsbury's variety. I'd be suprised if it's BP by another name as my car hates BP Ultimate - becomes completely gutless in comparison. In terms of feel Sainsbury's SUL is most similar to Esso SUL (my next preference).

Is there such a thing as tesco 99 ron.
I am sure when fueling up with Tesco Super Plus, when Optimax suddenly disappeared off the face of the Planet a couple of months ago, it only said 97 ron on the Tesco pumps. Am I missing something ??
Regards,
Graeme.

Cheers guys,
Forgot to mention mines an Import.
I'll give this a try with my next fill up, not too sure if its gonna be benificial as I have 2 tescos with 99 ron on my to work and the sainsburys is in the opposite direction so by the time I've driven there will it really be worth it for a few pence on a tank?

I've used it once, the car usually gets Optimax or Tesco 99 if i can get it. I may have had a bad batch, but the car started to backfire dramatically on the motorway. The bangs were so loud I thought someone had crashed into me at first.

I used it in my MY02 WRX - much better fuel economy and there was more pickup.
Then used it in my porker 996 - have to say works a treat and cheap as chips.
