depends what age you are talking about, subaru as far as i know brought out a v-ltd to commemerate a WRC victory or something along those lines. I have a 2003WRX v-ltd which is a 2004 car brought out to commemerate peter solberg winning the 2003 WRC. they are always plaqued up. Info is on the for sale section of mine

i bought mine flagged up as a WRX V limited (96 WRX) no plaque or such like and the engine nos/model points to a bog standard WRX still a lovely car and still going strong 2yrs on with nearly 90k, the really strange thing is the registration docs- Impreza WRX-STI Prodrive however is a GC8 / EJ20 ie Bog standard 96 WRX!!!!

Need help !!
i've come across the 96 age one but i wanted to know how am i going to find out the differentence between the WRX or WRX STI..
as i was told they only come in two types in this limited edition.
Also what does the normal WRX or a STI have which the limited edition dont?
I've seen the picture of the car it has white sticker on there saying its a champion of a 1995.
Do they come in a Type RA? or Type UK?

I've got a Jap MY96 WRX V-limited, it got the 1995 World Champion badge on the seats and the same badge on the boot with a V-limited 168/1000 badge undernether it.
Is this an actual production model Subaru made ? I couldn't find any info on them and the engine code is a standard WRX, even guys at Roger Clark Motorsport hadn't heard of them, which I thought was a bit strange. I assumed some had got the badges and seats from another Impreza.
Also, if it is a V-limited model, what the difference, apart from the badges, I know its got a aluminium bonnet and boot, but I think all jap models have this.
Cheers.

if its an sti you'll know as soon as you get close,
sti sewn into seats, nardi steering wheel, i/c spray and red topped engine.
not sure what the engnie codes etc are (just incase they're trying to fake an STi!)
you'll know when you put your foot down aswell! (if you've been in a genuine STi anyway!)
