Default Richard Burns Donation - UPDATE -

Just to let you all know that the donations have still been coming in at an alarming rate every day and hopefully everyone should have received their stickers, they are still being sent out every day.

At the moment the figure is around £3500, total figure will be announced on the 22nd where the RB5 Owners club will be presenting a cheque at the private memorial. I believe that the media will be covering this so everyones generosity will be recognised.

We have had a presentation cheque made up, c/o SIDC chairman Phil Stephens (who has given the RB5 OC 100% backing and support on this. ) On the cheque we have had FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE WORLDWIDE RALLYING COMMUNITY added as there is so many different car clubs/businesses involved in the donations.

Many of you also included some touching words along with your donations, we will be presenting all of these to the Burn's family on the 22nd so they can see just how much Richard had touched everyones lives and how much he will be greatly missed as a person and a rally driver.

Once again, on behalf of the RB5 Owners Club, I would like to thank you all for your generosity.

Let us all hope that this amazing donation to Cancer Research helps battle this evil and save lives.

Mark,
Many thanks to the RB5 OC for opening it out to ALL fans. You probably thought about 50 stickers which has now turned in many thousands. But when you hand over the cheque you'll find all that extra work has been worth it.

Regards

Has anyone put the stickers on their cars yet, and if so, can we have a thread where we show the stickers?
I would post one of mine but the mrs has gone out with the camera in her bag still (took it to works do last night...)

lol that would have been RB5203 who was carrying the cheque, i was in front of him.

a touching day and an honour to have been invited to the private memorial after. had a good chat with Robert Reid and Richard's dad who let everyone know that the donations were from teh rally community worldwide.

He said he was extremely touched and overwhelmed as he never realised that Richard had touched so many people.

Robert Reid also signed a few items of RB5OC mercandise that we will be auctioning off to raise more money for Cancer Research.

These were taken at the private gathering; a nice selection of Richard's cars -

and a wannabe rally driver -
