Hemel Fire vs My Porsche
Well I swapped from a MY02 WRX to a '99 Porsche 996 Carerra - I've had it a year and its been really awsome - I looked back to start with - but not for long.
Until....
Yep my car was parked in the work car park whilst I was away on business in the USA - I returned on sun at 11am to be greeted with Buncefield has gone up - oh yeah and so's your car.
More pics when I get on site - which wont be for a while.
Completely dischuffed - so its time to return the fold.
Gutted.

Its comming off my own to start with - I need another car.
I'll let the insurers reclaim from Total - and I'll look to reclaim the xs.
Its a bloody mess - I'd just has the wheels repainted.

What a sh1tter.
Still, once it's all paid for and replaced it's a good story . . . . . . . . . with pictures.
Agree with Swiss about the bootfull - shame.

Trumble; Im going to buck the trend by not being "gutted for you"... Its a shame though; I hope that the companys insurance pays out a reasonable sum in settlement. No one seems to have commented on the state of the car; it doesnt appear to have been damaged by fire from what I can see; so all of that damage must have been caused by the explosion! What state youd have been in had you been crossing that carpark at the time doesnt bear thinking about does it?

Cheers peeps - I was on a plane - got off at 11am to get 4 txt messages from a variety of people - called the wife to get the bad news.
Looks like the insurance company have come good - just waiting for the cheque.
I'll claim the xs and contents from my company - who will I feel sure claim it from the oil company.
So scooby do here I come - and you can get a lot for the price of a 99 porker
I've seen some more pics - its a shame as the alloys had just been refurbed and they looked like new.
Cheers all,
T.
