The scooby wave!!
Bikers do it.
Mini drivers do it.
Ive heard people on here say they do it.
Do you do it?????
I think its a bit gay so dont do it, but if you all come on here and say you do ill retract the gay thing and start waving like a spaz from now on.

Don't think it's gay at all, it's appreciation of the marque. Used to wave when I had an MGF (not too many responces) Then my Elise (always a response) & now the Scoob, not had it a week yet but been waved at a few times
Why gay??
Why gay??

Waving is just an acknowledgement of the cars you drive ... lots of marques do it.
The trick with Scooby waving is in registering the fact one is approaching *and wave* before they whizz past
PS. The windscreen wiper 'salute' is also publicly accepted if you get flustered

(even worse when I clean the windows by 'flashing' the 'car in front)

When I had the WRX I always used to wave and 90% of people would wave back - was one of the things I really liked about owning a Scoob.
Unfortunately in the Forester no bugger waves so I've given up now

I think it should be one of the rules of Scoob ownership except in Bristol (ignorant b**tards), saw at least 5 on separate occasion during the day a couple of Fridays back and no one waved!

As a new scooby driver I must say I've got a wave out of every other one I've seen so far (which is actually quite a few). And sgcooby, if you think its gay then dont change your mind just because other ppl dont, having said that if u wave at me like a spaz then I might stop too - just a cool nod of appreciation of how much it's costing to run a scooby is fine ! lol

I wave at all other Scooby drivers (even sports), theres a oldish lady near me who drives a standard Green classic saloon who I always wave at, she probably doesnt realise Im waving because she has a Scooby, but she always seems really happy when I flash the lights and wave.

I waved three times at the weekend when we were in Norfolk.
Only got one back though.
Although one who didn't in Norwich had stickers all over the car, so I didn't really mind.

I Wave, more of a salute hand signal really, dont wave as if im saying bye to my mum tho !! i forget im not on the bike and go to nod sometimes, so if anyone in gloucestershire sees a white impreza and they get a nod, just smile :-)

give us a wave, living in Sheffield I always wave, used to be a mini 1275gt owner in my early days and did it then. It is abit frustrating when you dont get a wave back, so get waving scoobie owners.

The Scooby wave is international- we've it here in Ireland too and also a few of us from the ISDC went on a trip to TSL recently and got flashed and waved at around Nottingham.
Personally I don't think is Gay
Cheers

I usually flash rather than wave.
It's not sad or gay. If they wave or flash back it's acknowledgement and mutual respect between the two of you - you both know that your behind the wheel of a car that is that little bit special.
