As above I may be taking my car to Silverstone racing track in December, I just wanted to know from any locals if you have a Tesco's up there selling the 99 ron stuff?????????????????????


Without much of a detour from the M40 otherwise I will get lost !!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a Tesco in Brackley (5 miles from Silverstone & you pass thru from the M40) You need to check if they are doing 99 as I have not been over for a while.

I was at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago and ended up at the Optimax garage on A5 just south of Towcester. There's a BP garage just down the A43 from S/stone but who wants to use Ultimate?

Well I phoned the Banbury and the Brackley Tesco's and they both told me they don't sell it

So anyone else help me out up there ?????????????????

Bicester has a Tesco fuel station which is listed as having 99RON and Northampton's Tesco is huge so may do. I only live a couple of miles from Silverstone and they are the only Tesco garages near here. We are in an optimax free zone too with only Northampton or the one on the A5 in striking distance.

I went through the same exercise of phoning all the nearby Tescos. Bletchley was the closest with 99RON but the time it'll take to get there + mileage there and back, you'll be eating into track time and your tank full of precious petrol. Shell on the A5 a couple of miles south of Towcester is where I went during the lunch break. Optimax + a bottle of Millers is nearly as good, plus it's likely to be pretty cold.

I'm sure I saw on their website that the Northampton tesco does it and thats only about 10mins from the track.

all the tescos in mk do 99 ron, depending on what way you are comming in from instead of going down A43, you can cut across from buckingham to mk without too much of a d tour??? might be worth checking out buckingham tescos not too sure if they do it though

The Tesco in Northampton is not 10 mins away from Silverstone, it is further.

The one with 99ron is on the A43 (Weston Favell).

As a local until today, I can help you on this one...

Tesco99 is available at Oxford (Cowley) and Abingdon (A34). It is NOT available at Bicester regardless of what Tesco have on their web site, etc.

Optimax is available closer. Either the one on the southbound A34 1 mile south of M40 Jn 9, the one at Peartree on the A34/A44 junction, or the one in Bicester just by Bicester Town station.

Tesco Wolverton (MK) have it for sometime, filled up today @ 88.9 p a litre. Not been over to Northampton to check

That list is NOT accurate. For example, 99 is not available at Bicester Pingle Drive.
