Default How confusing!?!?!?!

Im trying to take a 02(52) Bugeye WRX STi in part exchange on a new 350Z and JUST found out that theres something called a WRX STi Prodrive Style which apparantely has different bumpers, clocks, spoiler, etc but NOT a PPP car.

I thought the WRX STi Prodrive (as it appears on the v5/hpi) would be a PPP car.

The guy who owns the car, has thought since purchase it was the 300bhp version.

How confusing, especially as Glass's dont book a "Style" model.

Anyone else problems buying/selling/identifying the right car?

i have just found out that mine is the prodrive model, to be honest it looks slightly different than normal sti's (bumbers ets) but i dont know of any other differences except I got an insurance rebate - this leads me to believe its not a 300bhp model but she is dam sexy and i love her anyway!

iirc the Style model had the big rear spoiler & the stickers were in white on the front fog lamp covers, not pink! I am sure that it had a few other subtle marks to tell it apart from the standard STI of the same time.

Neither had PPP as standard, the only way to tell if this has been done is the certificate or you can check with Subaru UK. When the blobeye came along they all had the large rear spoilers.

Going by the Pics above, the standard bug eye looks better than the prodrive one.

The bugeye STI's are looking more attractiven teh more I see them, their rarity is a major bonus too.

Yep, that second one has the JDM grill which makes the front end much nicer IMO, probably a JDM car, AFAIK they didn't fit that grill on the Type UK's...
