I wouldn't worry what the v5 says, i think you have a wrx STi ver1, on 100 ron fuel it should produce 250bhp@6500rpm and 227lb/ft@3500rpm.

And if i was you i would either invest in a knocklink (to see how it running on sul) or run it with booster just to be on the safe side.

I use the booster now and then, not every tank full. Normally when the car is going to get a bit of stick as it protects your internals. I would recommend the NF Octane booster. It is a bit more expensive than some but you get 6 shots from a bottle not 1 like most of the others and it is good stuff.

Was it remapped for sul+booster or straight sul? if it the latter then your not gonna get any advantage using booster as the map should run safely on sul.

At last dude another STi version 1 owner mine is 158 of 200 and it runs on optimax with millers octane booster as for pinking cant tell with all that noise going on but would deffo get a knocklink fitted (me saving up at mo).

250bhp is rated for that year and only revs to 7000 but the version 2 onwards rev to 8000 (lucky ). Think its to do with the ecu's,but have been told the sti version 1 engines are the strongest. Quote me if am wrong!!

Get a de-cat down pipe with new back box and HKS air filter then you should be up with the big boys .
