Smile TESCO 99 RON AGAIN

Filled up works van tonight at local Tesco (FLITWICK) and they now have the 99 ron fuel ....talking to the girls in there and they said ALL Tesco`s will be getting it as its replacing L.R.P.

You can even say you are doing a (small) bit towards renewable energy use, since Tesco's 99 octane is 5% bioethanol (from sugar beet).

Weve just got it at Tescos extra on the A14 near Cambridge. Still 99.9p though.

Not to burst anyones bubble,

but you do know that ESSO supply Tescos fuel, and as such i seriously doubt it is/will be 99 ron.. just fyi.

Stirling Tescos replaced LRP with 97 octane SUL.

Then either sue them for trade descriptions or alternatively dont be so f%$ing stupid

Contacted Tesco and asked if it was going to rolled out in the North, particularly Warrington, no luck yet 8(

Esso may well supply some fuels to Tesco but thats does not mean that 99RON is supplied by them.

Texaco, Total and BP also supply Tesco with fuels, and it is all the same as the majors sell, the 99RON comes from an independent fuel storage depot that imports fuel in mainly from Europe(the place that has Shell V Power)

I am trying to find out more info on whether it is refined 99 as is Optimax(98.6RON) or if it is boosted with an octane booster, have heard that it contains 5% Bioethenol, also hope to get some engine ratings done to find out what the RON really is.
