I believe it is called a "tracker monitor". Something like £400 installed, + subs at £100 year. I was going through the same provess. Then i started seeing who would insure without one, and at what price. It worked out cheaper for me to go with Admiral, 'cos they dont need one. Tesco gave me the cheapest quote, but only if i have a tracker. The difference in quotes is less than the cost of a tracker, so didnt bother. Depends how long you r plannin on keeping the car. If it is 2 years then it is probably worth it. This depends tho on how muvh u r being quoted in the 1st place. Hope this helps.

Elephant.co are the guys,no need for a tracker that you have to pay a subscription for every year, for them to recover your scoob with the **** ripped out it and every gear redlined by the thievin gits who nicked it.My point, dont get a tracker.

now i work in insurance and i think that you should use that line pimmo..... i think most brokers would squirm trying to answer that question...... lol.

your insurance is more cos you are younger, don't look at it as a bad thing... i think the price is good. Some insurers require a tracker and some don't, it wouldn't make any difference how old you are...

i am still waiting for RAC to confirm mine is turned back on as the insurers will start complaining very soon with out a cert

Not so much to do with how nickable the car is. It's because statically your age group is more prone to stacking it into a tree or another car, so u are a higher risk to the insurer than anyone else

I'm with Norwich Union Direct, no tracker but with cat 1 alarm.

I wouldn't want my car back after it had been stolen, but I would like the name of the thief !. Once I have a name my own 'trackers' would locate him for me.
