Default Whats wrong!?

Took MY00 out this morning and as I slowly accelerated it hesitated then the "check engine" light came on, drove on a little more and its jerking & hesitating under accelleration (about 3000 rpm), pulled over turned engine off and tried again but still the same. Anyone know what it may be? The MAF sensor is quite new so I don't think its that, it feels like maybe a worn out Cat or lambada sensor, could it be new turbo time? Mileage is 52k. No mods other than backbox. There is no smoke, no engine rattles/taps and it idles fine.

I was in the 2pm Trax 2005 session last sunday (the mica red one at the front) and feel that has not helped thou it was a great day.

I've got until Monday to decide what to do, until then its the weekend in a Clio 1.2! Gee im gonna love that!

Cheers fellas

HI mate,

im not pro on scoobys but i know when i blew my turbo off its bearings there was no warning lights came on the dash, could just here the turbo chinking off the case, so doesnt sound like its that.

if the engine lights on its generally a sensor somewhere, if the maffs new check the connectors onto it etc or the lab prob in the down pipe, mine came out onece and made the car chugg, just screwed back in.

99% sure its not the MAF, I unplugged it and same thing happened, just tried to unplug the Lambada sensor but the little git won't undo!

If your CEL came on then do an ecu check to see if it gives you any error codes. To me it sounds like the MAF but if your sure its not that then I believe the ecu will tell you so.

hiya dude, tried talking to you at Trax but i dont think you saw me. Your car looked gr8 sorry to hear its not working well, bet it went rong when u tried to race me in my Justy 4x4 T.

Any way if its not your MAP filter it could be a blocked evaporation hose running from the intake manifold to the purge control solenoid valve!

ps i keep flashing ya, but u dont back, u proberbly dont realise its me

Did the ECU check thing under the steering column and it did 2 slow flashes flowed by 3 fast flashes..........which equals knackered MAF sensor apparently and theres me saying its 99% not the MAF!! I replaced the MAF myself recently thou it was'nt in a sealed packet..........looks like it was a used one!
