RB5 vs STi RA vs Sti ver 5
Evening
I've just sold my uk scoob and am on the lookout for another to replace it.
I'm looking for more power as std so leaning towards an import.
Of those that I've looked at, it looks like something along the lines of those above (i know the RB5 is a uk model).
The question is - what are the biggest differences betweeen the three. I've tried to search but it's taken ages to find not a lot...
Can anyone help out?
Cheers

Biggest differences in what way?
If your talking performace then an RB5 will be similar to your current car. Nice cars, but IMO a little overpriced for what you actually get.
For point to point squirts an STi Type RA is just mind boggling as would be a Type R (both are 0-60 in 4.3 secs). An STi would be someplace between the 2.

My car is running about 250bhp so maybe the RB5 is just a bit shinyer but no faster...the ra and the sti are probably the choices as the type r would be too expensive for me.
Main reason for the change is the power hike...
I like all the goodies that come with a car such as the sti ver 5 i think....not sure I could live day to day with the RA unless it was a slightly specc'd up version.
What exactly is the spec of the sti ver x's ie.whats the major differences between the ver 3, ver 4 and ver 5?

I'm biased as I have an RB5 but I think it is the nicest of all the uk models. Some of my friends hate classics but actually like mine, its the colour I think. Subtle but nice. I'd love an STi but was put off with insurance hassles, lower gear ratios and ugly fog lights. Before anyone argues, I know there are mods for that and you can get insurance easily and the gear ratios aren't that different but I just didn't want those hassles and the P1 was too expensive

Had My99 UK turbo 2 years ago. I now have a STI V3 and I love it!! It's so much faster as standard but it now runs about 360bhp and it fly's the 3&4 are basically the same not to sure about the 5.
