Bacon sandwiches containing GPS to monitor tankers

I support it up to a point but...
It's just a bit annoying when everyone seems to forget just how grim it really was under Thatcher.
Personally, I think all politicians are tw@ts but I'm sure I'd do a better job. Hey! What a good idea! Pay me 110k to f#ck up the country!
Honestly, I would like nothing better than to see fuel prices drop (I've done 34000 in 18 months - pure leisure driving) but I can't help thinking that people are getting a bit too caught up in the ideals, not the reality...

None taken and I understand your point. I'm one of the lucky ones but I remember what it's like to have 20 quid a month after bills to enjoy myself with and how much of a struggle that was.
Just cos I drive a flash car doesn't mean I've lost touch. I'd rather eat food that's a few days out of sell by rather than chuck it and buy new stuff... (Just a for instance)
I'm tight @rsed in plenty of ways! I worked to get my flash car and I started with nothing. Basically I'm lucky to be where I am and I make sure I don't forget that.
BTW, apparently the satellites can tune into the cholesterol

Chill!
Personally I beleive the Tories did a far better Job than this shower. Hague right wing, what about the @rse in power now he's more right wing than Portillo.
Margret Thatcher can't have been that bad at her job otherwise she wouldn't have kept being re-elected.
I don't think that you would give up so easy if it was your livelyhood.
I think the point that some people are missing is that this isn't an overnight reaction sparked off by the froggies the Hauliers have been lobying Government for 2 years now. There has been countless actions discussions and protesting before this and it got them nowhere. This isn't a game, never mind people not getting to work or kids not being able to get to school for a few days. These people are in danger of losing their homes, their livelihoods, their families, their dignity.

Hmmmm
Ok. Maybe I did get a bit militant!
I just get a bit frustrated. I do understand how people would react like this when their jobs and homes are on the line but we really shouldn't forget what the years of boom and bust and Maggie were like. There were haves and have nots (granted there were a lot of haves) but when it crashed, everything went t1ts up big time (record numbers of repossessions etc).
Also, it was the Tories who went more towards indirect taxation which will always favour the rich.
Anyway, like I said, sorry if I was a bit manic there!

Latest news:
Bacon sandwiches are being tracked by GPS to make sure that fuel is being delivered....
Get a bl00dy grip.
Fact of the matter is, like it or not, fuel companies have a responsibility to the public. End of story. They cannot sit back and allow people to go hungry, get ill because of no ambulances etc without a good proportion of the blame being levelled at them.
Maybe many of the people on here are lucky because they earn a good salary and no food deliveries don't affect them. Good for you. Not everybody is in that happy position.
This protest has made it's point and it's about time these hard-up hauliers got back to earning their living so that they can at least try to make some money. One thing's for sure, they'll certainly go bust if they sit outside a depot all day.
Think the tories will be better? Who gave us the fuel escalator (which Labour scrapped)? Who gave us poll tax? Who broke the power of the unions? Who set about dismantling the NHS? Who broke up British Rail giving us an even worse rail network (if that were possible)? Three guesses - no I suspect you only need one.
Fine get angry with Blair and vote him out. Then see how you like it when Hague the right-wing @rsehole starts introducing his hidden agenda of elitism and class distinction.
Short memories or what

Those were the answers I was looking for re: the Tory demise.
But still... calm down man - your not in Parliment now Geeza.
Bacon Sarnies? Where did you get that information??
As for your sour comments on good saleries - what is that exactly? A young dude in his early twenties earning 15K and living at home with his folks or an average Joe earning mid 20K with a wife two kids and a mortgage?
Don't holla for the people if your not one of the people your blubbering about - it's the quickest way to get capped. Trust me. Take a lesson from Tony.
YOU OWN THE EXPENSIVE CAR MATE... think about it.
No Malice intended.
Average Joe.
