Sti UK 2003 Vs Sti UK 2002 Bug Eye
Hi,
Does anybody have the performance stats for a Type UK Standard Sti 2003?
I'm finally closing in on my Scooby and was pretty much set on a 02/52 Bug Eye Sti with PPP. However, the insurance is putting me off a wee bit and am now thinking of getting a newer standard Sti ie 2003 instead. Is the standard 2003 sti any better performance wise than the standard bug eye in respect to BHP or 0-60?
Appreciate any info.

The PPP changes it in to a completely different car.

You'll pick up a Bugeye for less, as many weren't sold on the looks (although I thought it looked good in Sti guise) Just be aware that you'll need to specify the 'prodrive style' one to get the big wing etc....
All the best.

Ive posted this recently, but I wouldn't touch a PPP after seeing one on the rollers coming out a lot under power. The comapny in question have seen this on many PPP STi's... TEK3 all the way Or WRC tech do a big power upgrade and a warranty

Yes, AFR's and boost appeared to be fine. They did say the PPP's never made the power on their rollers - which seemed accurate, and not fairy tale like some The Dyno Dynamics type do seem to becoming more popular too. I asked about this on 22b.com and where the PPP is developed on other rollers, it proabably is making the power, but maybe not real power
I imagine the insurance wouldn't be too bad, and there is always the choice of whether you actually tell them In effect the PPP is a TEK remap, as its the same process / equipment they use. You could just insure it as a PPP maybe?

At the moment I'd want mine to go to a certain Mr Rawle owning to his reputation.

You called A-Plan for an insurance quote yet?
If it wasn't for their decent quote I would not have bought my WRX 03STI PPP!!!

Thanks for all the comments on here. The deal is almost done! Going for a 02 Bug Eye with PPP (knew I'd get talked into it ). I test drove it almost 4 months ago now and it was fantastic, it's been sat there for 6 months in the dealers and it'd be rude not to give it a good home.
Look out for some pics in a weeks time all being well. Thanks again guys.
