Lightbulb What do you think?

Do you think a MY02 STi PPP represents good value at £14,999?

I certainly can't find a prodrive style one with PPP for that price.

It will be intresting to hear what you guys have to say on this.

With Euro '05 WRXs advertised at £15,000 it seems expensive to me.

You can't really campare to the standard WRX to the STi.

A euro import STi is upwards of £22K and then you have to get some mods to make the power accessable for everyday driving. Then Tracker/security needs to be added at addtional cost. Insurance will charge you extra.

Your still talking a 10K difference in price from Type UK MY02 PPP to a Euro MY05(no PPP). Better still a 13K difference from a Type UK MY02 PPP to Type UK PPP MY05.

You are comparing a brand new '05 WRX with a three year old Bugeye STI; or rather I was doing. Were it my £15,000 Id be spending it on a new relatively attractive '05 car with a manufacturers warranty, rather than an somewhat ugly three year old superceded model.

It is priced very low and you will sell it no problem mate

good luck

GCB no need to slag a guys car just because you would rather buy a new WRX, this may come as a shock but people have different views on what represents good value ie; retired couples buying cityrovers, I dont stand outside the showroom lobbing dogturds at them just because I think they are cack

Give the guy a break

just my 2p

I know of one that sold for £17500 last week on ebay...MY02 STI with the prodrive styling pack and prodrive ff7's. 27k miles. Only difference being that it had a tec 3 running 340 ish bhp

That makes your car a great deal for someone...

good luck

Who is 'slagging'? It certainly isnt me; perhaps you should read the thread again. The man is asking whether we think a car priced at £15k represents good value in our opinion; there was no mention that he was selling was there? Considering the ambiguous nature of the post I had assumed that he was a prospective buyer.

This forum just gets worse and worse.

Apologies GC8

It looks like I caught the wrong end of the stick, after looking back over the original post it is clear to me that it could have been taken two ways, my interpretation was that Robsta had posted disalusioned that his underpriced pride and joy had not yet sold and you was kicking a man whilst he was down by describing his car as

somewhat ugly three year old superceded model.

Hmmm I noticed it in the Sales section mate. If you were a) Up North and b) Had 15,000 less on the clock I'd bite your hands off!!!

Hold tight, I think it's a really good price. It's about £3k cheaper than a dealer and I'd say for a STi PPP you'd pay about a £1.5k premium to get it from a dealer what with getting a years warranty from an authorised dealer and a little bit more piece of mind.

Don't panic, it'll go I'm sure
