Default WRX + PPP = pants!

Posted earlier about times I recorded in JDM WRX - some replies seemed to suggest they weren't realistic. Well - I have just had to run down to local IT supplier and on the way I had a run in with WRX with PPP. I pulled up on the outside of him at lights and he launched like a looney on amber. I waited for green and not wanting to fry my clutch, gently rolled before blatting after him. By the time I hit third gear I was already 5 or 6 lengths ahead of him. I could tell he was trying because he was all red in the face and looked cross! Now who dares to doubt me - proof of the pudding and all that!

It is obvious that whatever the book figures are for my car - they are totally undercooked - it rocks! Watch out Sti + PPP!

If your timings of 10.6secs to 100mph in your previous thread is accurate, you will paste any STI+PPP in fact you will give most supercars a close run......................somethings not right obviously..........maybe the speedo is misreading?

It's definately a Scoob - maybe good driver + 4 wheel drive = faster than Ferrari?

Just re-read your other thread where you said that this JDM WRX doesn't feel as quick as your old MY97 STI..............Bl***y He** that must have been a quick STI !!!!!

Yeah it was quick thinking about it - had lots of mods including green filter and dump valve - must have put it in the 360bhp bracket - and it was lighter too - didn't even have a stereo in it. Still don't regret getting rid of it - the WRX is more comfortable and has a CD player - if it gets to 60 in the early 4's I am well happy!

I must get me one of these filters and dump valves Did you have an alloy gear surround too I'm thinking of getting one, but my mate says they're not really worth it, better off with a sun visor

Surely the stereo didn't affect the weight that much! Maybe i should look at investing in the JDM wrx if it can produce early 4's to 60.
