Focus RS Stolen
Gillingham, Kent. Last thursday afternoon in broad day light, on his parents drive, no one home. They broke into the house, nicked everything they could along with the keys to his motor.
Will keep everyone updated.

Whats it coming to? Even the thieves have no taste in cars
Seriously sounds like the usual house burglar who seizes the opportunity to use the home owners car as the getaway...Cheeky basitds
Is the post to get those on SN to keep an eye out for it? If so can we have more info on the car?
Nice

I don't have any more info on the car yet, it was one of my fiancee's friends from work. He basically works for that car. He's only 21, took out a £14,000 loan for the car, had it about a year.
So much for his 4 years no claims! How much do you think the insurance pay out will be?
Poor guy.

How much is it worth?
I had my car 2 months before it was stolen. Paid £10.5K for it, got £10.25K back which I didn't think was too bad. They tried to get away with giving me less, but I wrote back 6 reasons why I wasn't accepting that amount and they increased it to what I got.
If your mate is not happy with the amount, then make sure he lets the insurance company know and give them reasons. My biggest reason was I was buying an identical car and it cost me more than they were offering.
He also might have an investigator round too. They take ages to file their reports and ask lots of questions. The guy who did mine took 3 weeks to file the report and this held the payout up no end. Took me 2.5 months to get the money. So prepare him for a long wait!

My insurance company have just written to me to make me an offer for my WRX which was stolen and they actually say in the letter that they have used the Glasses guide to decide the price. I only bought it in November and they have offered me £1300 less than I paid for it and then there's my excess to come off of that which is £400
I'm just writing them a letter in reply now as there is no way I could get another one for the money they are offering, it seems to have a lot of four letter words in it so far
