with a car of this type you know as well as i it will be driven fast, you could throw another 10k at that car and i bet there is a good pos that it still won't drive stright. if you do it dont cut corners

£10k for a hard hit 2003 STI seems a bit expensive to me ontop of that is on it on the list, as if it is it makes it a bad purchase for that price

i think if you take it to a proper garage and get it done properly the car will be as good as new.

who remembers last year in the wrc when solberg total'd his subaru which they repaired, and he went on to win the rally.fair enuff they have roll cages and have stronger welds, but if its done properly i think there should't be a prob.

Did your MY05 STi get repaired in the end, i know that was front damage, not rear end but it still looked fairly heavy?

Unhappy

Depending on the damage and whether its classed as complete write off you won't get much for it when selling on.

yeh it got repaired,it was only cosmetic damage the only serious thing that needed replacing was the inerwing.so thats why i kept it.

it dint cost me much to get it fixed and there was no chasise damage.
all of the parts that were damaged were replacable.

and the car is with subaru so its getting done properly, they also have a 360 modena there so that makes me feel good to.

they cant afford to buy the parts for the 360,they have to wait for the insurance apparently because the parts are that expensive.

That's good to know that Scooby parts aren't the dearest in the world, even if it doesn't always feel that way at service time!

Glad you got the car sorted out.
