Slick 50
Used Slick 50 in a past car, but was never sure if it was better or if it was in my head. Tempted to put it in the scoob, any thoughts.

STEP AWAY FROM THE SCOOB AND PUT THE SLICK 50 DOWN
Seriously, this stuff is no good. Do a search on here or ask someone like oilman what he thinks of this type of addative. Just use a quality oil like Motul, Millers, Silkolene or Castrol. If Slick 50 was worthwhile, don't you think such professional companies would have included it in the formulations .

Made that mistake. Bought some slik 50 had the dealer put it in on one of the service intervals (when I had a MY00 Turbo UK car). Even the dealer cautiously took 10 minutes to look at the packaging before agreeing. Had the mixture put in and boy did the car feel slower. It felt like the pistons wernt running freely. Anyway on the next service got the delaer to do an engine flush before the oil change. And the car felt pokey again. I did read on a forum about bad experiences of engines going bang with this stuff. I was lucky that time.

I used to think it was ok but heard and read a few very technical reviews that gave it a bit of a slating!
i think you'll find a resourse of info from google... don't know any competition cars that use it...!

Works well in much older cars where you're forced to use very basic (by modern standards) oils due to the viscosity the engines were designed to run on. Would not put it neer the scoob though, head straight for the Silkolene / Motul!
