Ah well, at least the new motor's blue with a bonnet scoop!
I think you could have got more than £9K for the old one especially with a private sale, don't know your miles though.
Shudders...
Good luck with the new car.

why have a car losing money in value and you are too scared to drive/leave it anywhere?
I always said i'd never cover my scoob in cotton wool... parked where i wanted/safety. Parking on side streets in Nottm at night... went to tesco etc etc.
you have to drive the car to enjoy it... looking at it shiny on a drive is not the same thing.
safe bet with the MPV ... buggy and all.
think I'll stick with my Smart for now .... even less to worry about with plastis doors

I used to drive my old scoob everywhere, which was great fun but ultimately I got used to it and then got bored. That's the only reason I sold it, it was a fantastic car. I realise that now
Now I have a new one, but I also bought a 100,000 mile Primera soon afterward. I drive the Nissan 4 days a week - my run into work and back is boring in any car - so now when I get back behind the wheel of the scooby it feels fresh and exciting and reminds me why I bother. I don't have to worry about parking it in supermarkets or other dodgy areas, I just use the Primera for that too. The scooby gets taken out when I fancy a 'proper' drive, and doesn't get worn out acting as mundane transport.
£1500 for a second uninteresting car - the best upgrade I ever spent on the scooby
