Left standard??
I am interested to know if anyone on here runs a completely standard Impreza Turbo/P1/STI/WR1 etc and is happy with it.
I have not long had my MY00 Turbo and apart from a Magnex rear silencer it is completely standard. The only thing I've changed are the tyres (Eagle F1's alround) and for now at least, I'm pretty content...

I had my sti 4 for just over a year now. Had it rolling roaded at PE angot 293bhp and 253lb/ft torque, and my exhaust was blowing! Since then all I have added is a blitz cat back sysyem and some EBC Turbogroove discs and red stuff ceramic pads (cause the standard ones are ****e! ) and I am more than happy with it. I'm not saying that I wouldn't like to add:
Cold air feed
Decat downpipe
New Alloys
AP brake kit
Apexi FC ECU
Uprated fuel pump and regulator
And the list goes on........!
We all have to have a hobby!

I only changed my exhaust for the sound, and didn't go for one that increases BHP - so yes I was happy with standard "go"... Then again I am easily pleased lol..

I've got a standard WR1 - I have no intention of modding it, as the whole point of me buying it was that it was already the car I would have turned an STI into (ie ppp, alloys, springs etc). The problem with doing that to an STI IMHO is that it knackers your insurance and you have to scratch around trying to find a company to cover you (some will disagree, but they can't honestly say that its as cheap and easy to insure a modded car as a "standard car").
It seems more than sufficient for what I do with it (commute over some nice country lanes ;-) ) and I'm still learning to get the best from it as I've only had it for 3 months now.

My Scooby and my ZX-7R bike are standard apart from full exhausts.
My machines sound as they are supposed to not as the stupid regs want them to sound like.

My Wagon is standard. The only mods I would consider are a sound-improving backbox (not too loud, though) and possibly a downpipe mod (sports cat?) to reduce the turbo lag, giving more shove lower down the rev range. When the turbo's on song, it goes more than fast enough for my requirements.
