Default Sale price guide please help

Hi, I am emigrating in mid February this year and I have no use for my Scoob in a left hand drive country so I have to sell it.

I am finding it hard to work out what price to pitch it at as most of the newer Scoobs I see for sale are with dealers.

It's an 04 model STI Type UK on a 53 plate- registered Feb 04. 12k miles. Extra's are the 18" bright flitter Prodrive wheels, Prodrive conversion, Prodrive springs, Sat Nav and the RAC Trackstar.

How much do you think I should ask. I need to price it realistically to sell it ASAP.

Finally, I still have the original 17" gold wheels and tyres that have never touched the ground and I want to sell them separate, as well as a Road Angel with the laser detector (which is illegal to use where I am going) so if anyone wants them, make me an offer (I live in East Sussex).

I'm not leaving the Scooby scene- I'm going to buy a left hand drive model if I can lay my hands on one.

Thanks.

£23000 ish?

Not too sure really but at least someone's replied!

You're best to look at some of the dealers prices and knock 2 or 3 grand off.

By Prodrive conversion do you mean PPP? - I'd say £20k ish with PPP, £18.5k ish without for a quick sale. I'd be tempted to put the standard wheels back on - and sell the 18s separately.

Just been looking on Auto Trader web site, there's a 53 plate 2003 with the Prodrive alloys and PPP with about 12k for £19,995 at a dealer might give you some type of guide?

Also worth ringing a few dealers and asking for a price or them to buy it from you, that's what I always do? Privately you should be able to get a bit more.

£20k tops but may have to go to £19k or even £18k as some people seem to take ages to shift them. A real pity, but I would sell it off ASAP or you'll end up stuck with it

i would agree with ian and put the original alloys on and sell the 18s seperately cause if you need to shift it that quickly you will get a right kick in the stones, at least selling the 18s which will sell easier than the 17s you will get a few quid on top imo, good luck when you move

According to Parkers Web, your car is Dealer retail at £18.030, Private is £17.225+Extras. this should be pretty close to what you can expect, for
a quick sale, i would imagine a local Subaru dealer would give you £16k+.

Thanks to all for the advice. The price of the car on the road in Feb 04 when registered with the extra's was £31,000- what a massive hit that is for depreciation!

I'm going to get my local dealer, which I bought the car from, Culverwells, to sell it for me- dropping it off tomorrow.

Sad to leave the Scooby scene, albeit temporarily. When I get settled in France, I'm going to buy a left hand drive and tune it madly as a project car.

If anyone is interested in the road angel or the 17" gold wheels and tyres, send me a PM, reply to this text, or a call on my mobile- 07734 256780- I cant take these bits with me so a good home for a fair price and they could be yours.

Appreciate the advice on swapping the 18's, selling them and putting the 17's on the car, but I have 10million things to do with relocating me, a wife, two kids a dog, cat and massive lorry load of stuff in 30 days!
