Default Heater Matrix installation

Hi guys,

looking for some advice on fitting my heater matrix. It has decided to pack in on me especially over this lovely weather so looking at getting this sorted out asap!

Anyone fitted one recently or can help me with step by step instructions??

cheers

The words complete barsteward come into it, its possably a dash off job, lots of hassle and will take you a good day to sort out. Take it to a speciallist if your not that comptetent or on your own, you may need 2 people to do it properly.

I managed to do mine in about 5 hours (using wahs pics too). Isn't a hard job at all and you can do it yourself, just time consuming. But think what 5 hours labour is and smile when you save all that money.

Pics definately helped.... i had the workshop manual too so knew where all the bolts etc where to get the dash off, think it's only ten bolts and 4 connectors. Mine went last winter too. Seems the matrix knows the most inconvenient time to go... the little b'stard .

Funny

Not totally on topic, but I had to do this on my Celica GT4 last week, complete *******. The entire dash and all components back to the bulkhead had to be removed because a strengthing bar fitted to the GT4's prevents normal removal . I hope you have a better time.

I did repair the leak in the matrix, bought one of those MAP gas torches and soldered it back up.

Had to cut the hoses from the matrix though, the copper bends too easy to use too much force.

Now what do I do with all the screws I've got left over ........
