Got flashed by one of those mobile speed cameras last night on the A127 coming back from Southend.

It was just after Basildon in a 70 limit, so I hope it'll just be 3 points (was doing about 90 i think)

As the title says....silly boy!!!!

i hate them thats what i got caught by back in july
i was caught doing 49 in a 30 and recieved 3 points and 60 quid fine.

u should be alright fot just three.

Yeah it was one of these white vans they use......flashed twice

Feel like an idiot coz I know they do it there, but I was paying attention to the road, rather than a van parked behind a bush!!! (Small dig at the police tactics there!!!)

when i was caught it was daylight about 11o'clock when everybody is in work anyway did not even see the van although i also know they sit their aswell.
did not know i had been caught till i opened the letter.
Then had to go to the court to pay it problem being the court does not open tilll 9 and closes at three so had to get a postal order costing me 3quid odd and the a stamp to send it

Total cost 64quid and a rise in my insurance

did u know the vans do not belong to the police but the local council who do what with the money yes put in speed bumps to wreck ur car
so if u get caught speeding your actually paying 4 the speed bumps which scrape your own front bumper!

Didn't realise they belonged to the council, thieving b*****ds.

Insurance cost isn't too much of a problem as i'm a broker and do my own, but could do without the 3 points.

i might be wrong but 20 or over the speed limit is 6 points?? having said that speedo's are rarely accurate at that speed so hopefully you were under under

well had a mk2 16v golf as my first car and was about 900 tpft with 3 points and 0ncd car also had head cams exhaust and induction kit etc!
