WHO DO I HAVE TO SHOUT AT!?!?!?!?
Right, had a prang in my import scoob on ~15th september, i am STILL waiting for it to be repaired. they are waiting on an air con radiator and i've been given about 8 different dates and each time been given a later one!
SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO annoying!
especially as i have no curtersy car and cant work without one! so everyday i dont have a car is costing me about £60!
and i've been advised not to ring and complain to Subaru UK as if they find out its an import they will cancel the order!?!
******* hate this country!

Yes he does have an import, but the bodyshop he's using is getting the parts thru' Subaru UK... which is why it's been suggested that he shouldn't make too much of a fuss.

that does suck mate, have you thought about getting a 2nd hand rad to get you by and getting the new one fitted when it turns up?
don't know how viable this may be, but might be an option to get you back on the road?

Aircon parts (presume it's a classic) were in short supply when I got my aircon retro fitted a couple of years ago, Coolair are the company that supply Subaru with the bits.

60 pounds a day for a hire car?? (300 pounds for 5 working days)
Don't bother!
Buy a thow away car for say 200 pounds (tops)! with a few months MOT and Tax, get it insured as a second car with limited mileage and the sell it when you are done for say 100 pounds, even if you are doing this for a week you will be saving yourself money!!!! any longer than a week you'll be saving even more money!
Insurance is refundable minus a charge! but must be worth consideration.
Do the sums your self first as insurance will be the key to success or failure!!
Good luck

It took them 11 weeks to get mine back on the road, the aircon rad was one of the delays.
The bloke that crashed into me ran a red light, so I claimed for a hire car for the entire period mine was off the road. They offered me a fiesta/Corsa, told them to stick it where the sun don't shine and they upgraded to a 318i.
And this was a UK supplied 00MY Turbo, so I guess IM don't actually stock anything but consumable parts, just order them from Subaru/Coolair etc, when they need them.

sorry to tell you this but i waited 13 weeks (car at the insurance repairers) for a rear seat frame and centre console for my UK bugeye. After 13 weeks i was so pee'd off i had the car back without the new parts. Eventually the rear seat frame arrived and i fitted it, i was then told that they would never be able to get a centre console!!! So i ended upi getting on efrom a breakers and having a cheque back off the insurance for th evalue of a new part (at least i made £60 out of it). Get it back and sort it yourself (if its driveable) and get a refund from the insurance.

right,
mark - will be interested in that Rad if this one falls through (again!)
Jason - its a 95/96 JDM STi 2 RA V-Ltd (very ******* Ltd by the sound of it!)
turbotits - will consider taking it back without the Rad, thought of that a while ago, but the bloke keeps saying he cant compete the rest of the repairs without it (what a joker!)
keep thinking of complicated solutions then rule them out as 'its gonna be in this week!'
was about to sell the scoob before the prang, thats the irony! trouble is, a month without it has made me realise how much i'll miss it
i'm a right sado, was watching videos of me driving it last night
feel like a p0rnstar whoes been castrated!
still, only a week to go, yeah right!!!!!
