Unhappy Mot fail!! need advice on part replacement

The scoob failed its mot today..

nsf steering rack boot...

front droplink (both sides) bushes


Lambda to high..

lamda was a leaky zorst..... no probs..


any ideas where i can souce drop links and a rack boot


MY 96 2.0gl (its the legacy running gear i believe)

Not to sure on the drop links, but you'll get a universal rack boot from halfords etc.

Are whiteline links any good??

i can get them from demon tweaks for 33 all in

i think jap innov.. is about 43

and spars**ts !!!!! is 45 each!!!!! (main dealer) !!!!!!!!!

alternativly i can get just the poweflex bushes for 27..


The only thing i thought was a fail,, passed!!

the inner driveshaft gaitor has a small split??? but apparantly its not an mot fail!!

Mart,the whiteline stuff is very good.For that price you'd be better off getting those as the subaru items are not far off that price anyway

just sold my whiteline alloy fr drop-links for 30 ...you should look in the for sale section 1st for a bargain

I have a set of standard drop links that I can do for £20 inc post

Cheers Steve,

i have to get the garage to do the work.. or it,s another mot..

still they phoned today and the bill has dropped from £250 to £105

cos i paid for the replacement bits £50


just got to get the clutch done now ;(
