Scoobynet Calendar. Opinions please.

Scoobynet Calendar. Opinions please.
Hi peeps, I need a bit of feedback please.
On many occasions, given the high quality of some of the pix on here, I’ve discussed running an official Scoobynet photographic competition. The concept has been generally well received, but I’ve recently been pondering the possibility of using the winning entries as the basis for a Scoobynet calendar.
The competition would be open to all types of Scoob related photos, from Scenic shots to Rally pix, and would provide the core of the pix for a 12 leaf double A4ish wall calendar. Although the winners would receive a copy, additional prizes would be up for grabs, but have yet to be decided.
So, before I discuss this with SDB and Shaun, my question is how many people would be interested in purchasing them, given that they’d retail for around the £10 mark.
If this is to go ahead in time for Xmas, I need to start work on this ASAP, so all comments would be appreciated.

Oh dear, 30 views and 1 reply. Not looking too good.
This, btw, is to be something run by SN and featuring members pix, rather than being an Apex Photography profit making excercise.

[Edited because the issues I raised appear to have been resolved].
Good luck and looking forward to seeing the results.

Andy,
To address your points.
Actually, it's something I originally discussed with Simon and others sometime ago, but when you ran your fist competition it was put on hold.
The reason for making it an official Scoobynet competition is to give it a stronger footing to enable the calendar to be supported and hopefully subsidised by advertisers (thus bringing the price down), and hopefully bring in more substantial prizes. Anyway, I wouldn’t have the money to do a decent job of something like this myself.
As far as copyright is concerned, it is not difficult to construct a disclaimer where the person submitting the photo states that they are the copyright owner, or are licenced to submit it and accepts full liability for any copyright issues (I know because someone used one to get away with infringing my copyright) . In the past I’ve seen pix of mine openly submitted in competitions without question, and others taken by gifted amateurs rejected as being ripped off. This is something I was hoping to address by having a small judging panel with a wide knowledge of motorsport images.
As for using members pix for a profit, quite apart from the fact that this hasn't been conceived as a profit making exercise, the competition rules would clearly state that the pix are solely for use in the calendar and it's promotion. This is neither an unusual or unreasonable point, and one that is extremely common in competitions. As for giving away the rights to a prize-winning pic, that's up to the entrant and it would only be for the calendar. It's not as if anyone's going to be selling prints!
As for the quality, again it's not unreasonable to place a minimum requirement on file res or print size, and this will also assist in preventing people submitting others' shots, as they're unlikely to have access to sufficiently high quality images unless they are their own.
As for timeframe it's not something I'd given a great deal of thought to, as we haven't run a previous competition. If it were to go ahead for a second time, I would envisage it being for photographs taken within the previous 12 months. Not something that's much of an issue with scenic shots, but easily worked out on rally shots.
The whole thing was always intended as a sort of 'by members for members' kind of thing for everyone to participate in and enjoy, and the only commercial object was to try to break even. The guide price I'd given was pretty much what the printers have quoted + shipping, and would hopefully have been lower dependant upon sponsorship and advertising.
Forgive me if I’m wrong but contrary to your final paragraph, your opening statement gives the distinct impression you feel someone's trying to steal your thunder. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I find it very disappointing that you've felt the need to make such comments.

As much as the McKlien calendars are nice they're also sodding expensive
I'm interested in a Scooby calendar if it's done properly, say somewhere between £5 - £10.
