Question Impreza WRX STi Twin Turbo

Like in the title, is this possible?

Could you take the twin turbo out of the forrester and modify it to work with the STi and re-map the car for it?
Or would it be better to take some of the workings out and use different twin turbos..?

What power would could this give, or is a single turbo enough?

Im thinking more lag will go hand in hand with it but the twin turbo seems to work well on the Nissan skyline GTR V-Spec so why let Nissan have all the fun...

Sorry if this has been discussed.

Sequential turbos could be ace if they did it right without a valley of death/doom as on the Legacy TT, or non-sequential turbos fed by each bank of three on the H6.

Alternatively a 2.5 +- twin scroll that revs to 8000 RPM from the factory with VVT that breathes well at the top could work well and still be light weight.

On a 2.0 liter there would be just too much lag. The kit from PMS uses two very 'ickle turbos and if you look at there results there not much better than some of the medium framed sized turbos found on Scoobs. To drive two turbos properly you need sufficient displacement (and thus lots more exhaust gas) This is why they work well on 6 cylinder machines like Porches & Skylines who's displacement are 2.6 litres and upwards.

Solution: Buy a 2.8 litre short motor from us and two GT28/35's and your in business LOL All you need then is a gearbox thats not made from Chocolate

Is the 04/05 six speed transmission up to this type of power - 400 lb ft ish?

If so what would it cost to covert a base STi - which model would you choose to base it on? - Personally I want an everyday driving car with reasonable ride, handling and good sprintability through the gears

How long would you warrant work for - when is website going to be ready and do you need any assistance with it (brother does websites part-time and is very reasonable)

Griff, the 6 speed has been proven as a good strong gearbox and will handle 400 hp / 400 ft/lbs all day long.

As a good base car I would buy (my personal opinion) an STi 7 as they are currently going for cheap money, are well equipped and already have a stronger drivetrain in them than the classics i.e. the 6 speed is already there along with stronger diffs, suretrac front and stronger driveshafts etc.

Then the upgrade process can start
