Default Ok...Can anyone tell me what WRX Stands For?

This may well be the most stupid question ever, but was asked the other day what WRX Stood for....& my reply??? "What you mean you dont know???" Gulp! I havent a clue!!!


Anyone!!!?

Lol, that is still better than what I could come up with!! Cant believe that nobody seems to know this! It seems that it is one of them questions that everyone is afraid to ask in the chance of feeling too stupid! lol

Yep - I saw a Scoob at the autosport show with a WRX sticker and then said world rally cross next to it.

I thought it meant world rally international, where the X means international...like LAX is LA International Airport........of course I may be wrong

The 'X' stands for crossover, WRX = World Rally Crossover it's common within all car models...

NSX
XK
MX
etc......

Fairly sure its Cross myself. BMX stood for Bicycle Moto Cross, so would think WRX would be the same.

But Liams explanation makes sense - i.e. a crossover from fantasy to reality - not quite std, not quite a WRC car.
