Mobil 1 15/50 - 5L for £34.99
I just picked up the above from Halfords.
Not sure if they have a glitch in their system, as it showing up £34.99 on their computer.
The shelf tag shows £34.99 for 4 litres.
To get it for £34.99 (5 Litres) phone your local store and ask them if they have the above oil in stock. They will use the computer to check the stock level. If they have it in stock, ask the price and the name of the assistant. Then visit your local store and ask for the assistant you spoke to and take it from there.

I think it depends on the mods as to which oil is best for you and the way you drive. There are some people that have said Silkolene ProS breaks down after 2k miles and turns to sludge. Some details can be found on http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...6&page=4&pp=20.

As far as i know Mobil 1 only comes in 4ltr or 1 ltr cans.....and never had any problems in using it over the last 15 years (makes engines rattle on the top end??....sounds like more unsubstantiated rumours to me)

I've used Mobil 1 (15W/50), Castrol RS (10W/60) and Motul (15W/50) and for engine noise i couldn't really tell any difference. The biggest thing that made my engine quieter was going from 6000 mile oil chnage intervals to 3000 mile.
I'm currently on Castrol but if Costco are doing Mobil that cheaply i'd have no hesitation switching back. Off to Costco tommorrow.... hope they have Mobil One Motorsport and not the usual Mobil One!!!
Tony.

Just been to Costco... the Mobil 1 is the normal stuff as said above. So completely useless. It is only £25 inc vat tho if you have a car that likes 0W/40. Also took a trip to Halfords... the one in Tarfford Park had no idea of the bank holiday 'special' and it wasn't on the PC either. The Monkeys there looked at me as if i was stupid and were more interested in looking at the 1.1 Punto that had just pulled up with twin centre exit exhausts......oooooooooooooooo. Idiots!!!
