Default Changed Dealer Ship attitudes

today i went back to my favorite dealer ship for sum parts

only i had a battle plan
my JDM car was parked around the corner and i walked into the dealer ship on foot, asked them for a classic front wheel stud and nut, they asked for a chassis number and i whipped out a bit of paper with all my mates uk turbo details

they were "really nice" about it

the diffrence in attitudes was amazing, from the same people who refused to serve me a few months back

they were so nice im thinking of going back and ordering a rear crankshaft seal when the stud and nut comes in

It seems to vary quite a lot between dealerships - I spoke to one a couple of weeks ago who said they'd be only too happy to service and provide parts for my new JDM STI that arrives in a few weeks, within the limits of the parts they actually have available. Given that there are an awful lot of bits in common I thought that was pretty reasonable.

I went into the Subaru dealer in Huddersfield today to ask about a few parts, with my Jap STi parked outside in full view and they were still happy to help but obviously could only supply UK spec parts

Why use a dealership that obviously doesn`t want your business? Dennis Common are good and so are Gilesgate always had no problems getting parts for my JDM even when its parked on the carpark.
